Kayak Rental – San Diego
San Diego Bay has so much to offer and a kayak rental is the perfect way to experience it up close and personally. Whether you’re paddling over to one of the many gourmet restaurants nearby or just enjoying the sights, nothing beats the fun and relaxation of a laid back kayak trip.
What we offer
We offer both one seater and two seater tandem kayaks from Liquid Logic, one of the foremost names in boating. The Ventura kayaks ride high and dry and offer exceptional stability and their built-in seat backs ensure maximum comfort. When you rent a Liquid Logic Ventura kayak from us you’ll be able to get the most for your money every time.
With the two seater tandem kayak rental option, you can have someone else along to share the paddling so you don’t have to do all the work yourself. Plus, the extra space allows you to include a third smaller passenger, so your family can enjoy the sun and fun together.

FAQ’s
Is there a skill requirement?
A kayak rental can be enjoyed by individuals of any skill level. Since the Liquid Logic Ventura kayaks are incredibly stable, there is little danger of tipping but since you will be out on the water it is still important for anyone paddling or riding in a kayak to know how to swim.
Is a life jacket required?
Again, when you rent a kayak water safety is crucial. Every kayak rental includes one life jacket per passenger. For any passenger under 30 pounds you must supply your own properly fitting PFD (personal flotation device). You should also remain aware of other watercraft and observe proper precautions at all times.
What should I bring?
You will be exposed to both the water and sun, so when you rent a kayak you should come prepared. Wear clothes that can get wet as well as a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Bring a bottle of water to ensure that you stay hydrated and a towel to help you dry off after your rental and don’t forget to wear a water safe watch to keep track of the time.
Do Kayaks have a weight limit?
In general, most one seater kayaks have a 275 pound weight limit. The two seater tandem kayaks have a 474 pound weight limit. You should also be physically capable of pulling yourself back up into the kayak should you get out for any reason.
Can bad weather affect my kayak rental?
While San Diego is known for its perfect weather, unfortunately rain and other weather conditions can sometimes make kayaking dangerous and we reserve the right to cancel any rental due to bad or unsafe weather.
