FAQ’s

Is there a skill requirement?

A hydro bike rental can be enjoyed by individuals of any skill level. If you know how to ride a standard bike, you should be able to easily operate a hydro bike. While tipping shouldn’t be an issue, you will be on the water so the ability to swim is also important.

Is a life jacket required?

Water safety is crucial any time you rent a hydro bike. Every rental includes one life jacket per passenger.  For any passenger under 30 pounds you must supply your own properly fitting PFD (personal flotation device).

What should I bring?

During your hydro bike rental you will be exposed to both the water and sun, so you should come prepared. Wear clothes that can get wet as well as a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.  Bring a bottle of water to ensure that you stay hydrated and a towel to help you dry off after your rental and don’t forget to wear a water safe watch to keep track of the time.

Do hydro bikes have a weight limit?

In general, most hydro bikes have a 250 pound weight limit for the one seater and 400 pound limit for the two seater bike. You should also be physically capable of pulling yourself back up onto the bike should you go into the water for any reason.

Can bad weather affect my hydro bike rental?

While San Diego is known for its perfect weather, unfortunately rain and other weather conditions can sometimes make hydro biking dangerous and we reserve the right to cancel any rental due to bad or unsafe weather.

Whether you are just looking for an hour or two of fun on the water or shopping for the perfect board and paddle, our staff is the best. Extremely friendly and very knowledgeable we will take care of you and keep a smile on your face.
