FAQ’s

Is there a skill requirement for paddleboard rental?

A stand up paddle board rental can be enjoyed by individuals of any skill level and our instructors can give you a 90 minute lesson to help get you started. Since you will be on the water, the ability to swim is also important.

Is a life jacket required?

Paddle boards do have the potential to tip, so water safety is crucial. Every SUP rental includes one life jacket per passenger. For any passenger under 30 pounds you must supply your own properly fitting PFD (personal flotation device).

What should I bring?

You will be exposed to both the water and sun, so come prepared. Wear clothes that can get wet as well as a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Bring a bottle of water to ensure that you stay hydrated and a towel to help you dry off, if you fall that is. A waterproof watch to keep track of the time is also helpful.

Do Paddle Boards have a weight limit?

In general, most paddle boards have a 250 pound weight limit. You should also be physically capable of pulling yourself back up onto the board should you get knocked off. With that said, we have an XL size board option that has floated individuals up to 300+ pounds.

Can bad weather affect my stand up paddle board rental?

While San Diego is known for its perfect weather, unfortunately rain and other weather conditions can sometimes get in the way. We reserve the right to cancel any rental due to bad or unsafe weather.

Whether you are just looking for an hour or two of fun on the water or shopping for the perfect board and paddle, our staff is the best. Extremely friendly and very knowledgeable we will take care of you and keep a smile on your face.
